After a few fits and starts due to my extensive travel and work schedule as well as the release of Meth: The Immortal, I'm finally back to writing The Water War, book three of the Milligan Creek series. I'm still aiming for an August release, so my goal is to write at least 1,000 words a day over the next few weeks and finish the first draft by the end of May. I have the entire story outlined, and I just knocked out chapter five today, so I think I'll have no problem hitting that target.
Meanwhile, I'm still debating which story will form the basis of book four. I have an idea for a story I'm calling The Great Grain Elevator Incident, but I'm also toying with an idea that revolves around the local movie theater. Either way, both stories will find their way into the series eventually. I've also been developing a story that takes place on Halloween and one that happens in winter. Stay tuned!
